Exmouth

Well if Denham was busy, Exmouth was one step beyond that. Again all accommodation booked out and once again we ended up in overflow. This time for $39. It wasn’t just us – everybody who ended up there was cursing. So not the greatest start of the visit and so we decided to have a look around the next day and then leave, rather than spending three day there as planned. So the next morning we picked up snorkelling sets and headed for the national park. There we found out that some places came free overnight so we quickly grabbed one and yay! We were happy campers again. The next two days we spent staring at the coral reefs and fish swimming among them. I have to say that as I am new to snorkelling (one of the things that happens coming from a landlocked country) I really had troubles convincing my brain that it is ok to take a breath even though my head is obviously completely under water but eventually I had to do it and it was fine from then on. Breathing that is, as far as the sharks go I wasn’t convinced by one of the locals who was telling me that sharks are harmless as long as you don’t try to cuddle hem. I didn’t see a shark and have to say I don’t regret on missing out. As camping in national parks is affordable we did stay three days as planned and it was awesome.

Pkud jsme si mysleli, ze Denham byl preplneny, tak Exmouth to vzal jeste o stupinek dal. Opet bylo vsechno plny a opet jsme skoncili na nahradnim ubytovani – tentokrat na fotbalovem hristi a za $39. A nebyli jsme jedini – nadavali jsme tam spolecne se vsema, co se tam octli. A tak vzhledem k nehorazne cene ubytovani jsme se rozhodli to dalsi den omrknout a pak mazat pryc, avkoliv jsme planovali zustat tri dny. Dalsi rano jsme si vyzvedli soupravu na snorchlovani a vyrazili do narodniho parku. Tam se ukazalo, ze se pres noc uvolnilo par mist, tak jsme si jedno hned zamluvili a jupi! Zase bylo dobre. Dalsi dva dny jsme stravili ziranim na koraly a ryby, ktere se mezi nimi prohanely. ja jsem nikdy predtim nesnorchlovala a musim priznat, ze jsem mela celkem problem presvedcit muj mozek, ze se muzu nadechnout, ackoliv mam hlavu uplne pod vodou, ale eventuelne jsem se nadechnout musela a pak uz to slo. Teda aspon to dejchani, co se tyce zraloku tak me jeden z mistnich moc nepresvedcil,kdyz tvrdil, ze zraloci jsou neskodny, pokud se s nima clovek nesnazi mazlit. Ja teda zadnyho nevidela a ani toho nelituju.
