Betty

After months and months of car hunting and expensive misfortune which led to arguments and depression we finally found her. Her name is Betty, born in 1978 could be discribed as mature lady but still fit and going strong, however flat or downhill roads are preffered.

When we got her she the interior was well on the way. There is sink, fridge, foldout bed, cupboards, stove and power ponts. Unfortunatelly the sink, the stove and the fridge wasn't properly hooked up so we had that plus heaps of other stuff to keep us busy.

Tak toto je Betty, nas domov od domova jak se rika. Stastnymi majiteli jsme se stali v zari, po mesicich brouzdanim inzeratu v tisku i na internetu.

Betty je sice zraleho veku, nicmene stale beha jak zamlada. Pravda, uprednostnuje jizdy z kopce a po rovince, ale jinak zatim vse funguje.

Domu jsme si ji privezli uz v zari. Po mechanicke strance je sice zcela v poradku a interier taky nebyl spatnej, ale prece jen bylo co delat. Lednicka, varic a drez tam sice byl, ale ani jendo nebylo zapojeny. Krome toho jsme chteli vymenit svetla za LED zarovky a vylepsit par dalsich malickosti.

Introduction / Uvod

This is hopefully going to be a blog about our trip around Australia.
Am saying hopefully because it may not end up that way. I have never had a blog so it’s hard to say if I can keep it up. I know the few attempts on keeping a diary during my teenage years didn’t last more than few days at the very most. Other problem will be internet and power access. Both of these we may have only occasionally and therefore won’t be able to turn the computer on all the time.  So we will see but hopefully this will be a blog.
It’s aimed mainly at our families and friends who want to check what we have been up to, what fortunes and misfortunes we have been facing etc. Let’s face it – who doesn’t just love reading or hearing about other peoples misfortunes?  Ah we all do…
I would love to keep both versions – English and Czech – going but am not sure time will let me. Any volunteer translators?
As I said – not sure how successful I will be but will try to keep this one going!

Toto bude doufejme blog o nasich cestach kolem Australie. Rikam doufejme, protoze to tak taky nemusi dopadnout. Nikdy jsme blog nepsala, tak tezko rict, jak dlouho u toho vydrzim. Kazdopadne mych nekolik pokusu o psani diare behem puberty nedopadlo nijak slavne, par dni nanejvys. Dalsim problemem bude elektrina pripojeni na internet. Ani jedno totiz nejspis nebudeme mit moc casto. no holt uvidime.
Jinak tento blog je hlavne pro nase rodinky a kamarady, ktere zajima, jak se nam dari ci nedari.
Pokusim se udrzet obe verze – anglicky i cesky, ale tezko rict jestli to budu stihat. Jinak cestinu posledni dobou moc nepouzivam, tak to holt neni co bejvalo, jak po gramaticke tak po slohove strance, tak prosim o shovivavost.
